My question: how do I add value to the emails promoting a product during launch? How do i know what what kind of tips to include and entice people to click thru? Thanks!

Hey Deanna:
Your question could be asked from two different angles: 1. How do you improve your email copy to get more people to click when you promote your products?
2. What can I add to the email swipe copies that I get when promoting a launch as an affiliate?
For #1, I prefer to keep everything really short. Remember, the ONLY purpose of the email subject line is to get the recipient to open and read the email, the only purpose of the email body is to get the reader to click the link and watch the pre-launch content or whatever it is you are promoting. Try to keep everything out of the subject line and the email body that could keep the reader from taking these two actions. Keep it short and build on curiosity.
For the 2nd situation, the biggest value that you can add is the fact that you have (hopefully) built a relationship with your list. So your subscribers value your email more just because it comes from you. Just live up to that and talk about the product in terms of benefits, in the tone that matches your relationship with your list. Just as in #1 though, don’t give too much information in the body, and craft a subject line that “forces” your readers curiosity to open and read more.
